Seattle Comedy and Fresh Bread

The life of a stand-up comedian is rarely easy. Today, Ron Reid explains why he gave up his stand-up career to produce comedy closer to home. We also learn how a local man turns Hard Red Wheat into fresh baked bread and get weekend film reviews with Robert Horton.

Jeff Weissman made a commitment to organic products for his Great Harvest bread stores. With the help of Open Heart Ranch near Spokane, he's also able to make his bread a little more local. Jeff worked with the farmers to Megan Sukys goes to Great Harvest to find out what it takes to turn Hard Red Wheat into fresh baked bread.

    Six million people were killed in the Holocaust. Composer Gerard Schwarz' grandfather and grandmother were two of those murdered. Today, Gerard tells Dave Beck how he honors the memory of his grandparents in a new piece composed for Seattle's Music of Remembrance series.
