Seattle is on the cutting edge of green living and eating, but there are divisions: like the local food vs. organic food camps. So what'll it be listeners? Would you rather buy organic breakfast cereal from South America or pesticide-soaked dinosaur kale from your neighborhood farmer's market? And what about new USDA proposals to relax current organic standards? Call in with your thoughts and questions about local food, organic food, anti–modernism, and sustainable eating.

Samuel Fromartz is a business journalist who's written for Business Week, The New York Times, Grist, and many other publications. He's also the author of the book Organic, Inc.: Natural Foods and How they Grow.
Irena Knezevic is a doctoral candidate at Ryerson and York Universities in Toronto and a founding members of the Canadian Association for Food Studies. She's also affiliated with Canadian Organic Growers, a national information network for farmers, gardeners and consumers.
Jessica Prentice is one of the co–founders of Locavores, a group that promotes promotes local foods.
