The Seattle Post-Intelligencer served the community with a print edition for more than 140 years. When the newspaper shut off the presses in 2009, a group of reporters formed the investigate journalism website InvestigateWest. One of the goals of the nonprofit is to “set the policy agenda through powerful, independent journalism.” Are they doing it? Jason Alcorn is InvestigateWest's associate director.
