The first major overhaul of the nation's tax code in decades isn’t just about taxes – it’s also about oil. Guest host Marcie Sillman talks with Bloomberg’s Jennifer Dlouhy about a provision in the tax bill that requires the government to open the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge to drilling.

Then, something went very wrong at the plutonium finishing plant in Richland this month. The old factory used to make hockey-puck sized rounds for bombs during the Cold War, and the leftover radioactive material is supposed to be contained. Northwest News Network reporter Anna King joins us with the latest on a contamination at Hanford.

And it’s official – today marks the start of winter. You’ll see a bit more daylight every day from now on until June. But for some, a few seconds more light may not be enough to stave off winter blues, or worse, seasonal affective disorder.
