Richard Collins III was stabbed to death at a bus stop on the University of Maryland College Park campus, three days before he was to receive his bachelor’s degree from Bowie State University.

The FBI is investigating the incident as a possible hate crime. The attacker, Sean Christopher Urbanski, was a member of a Facebook group called “Alt-Reich: Nation.”

Here & Now‘s Robin Young gets an update on the investigation from Patrick Madden (@Patrick_Madden) of Here & Now contributor WAMU. Also, we hear from Master Sgt. Valente Ortiz, senior military instructor at Bowie State University, who knew Collins.
