The California Coastal Commission is Under Fire Again

May 12, 2016

The California Coastal Commission ? the state agency that regulates coastal development ? has been in the spotlight lately. In February, the Commission fired its executive director Charles Lester. Environmentalists and coastal access advocates cried foul, claiming the agency was cozying up to developers. The Commission said it was a management issue. Environmental reporter Molly Peterson sat down with The California Report's Queena Kim to explain what's been going on.
