Bainbridge ferry service resumes after being suspended for police activity in Eagle Harbor

Bainbridge Island authorities warned people to stay away from the shoreline in Eagle Harbor Saturday night while they worked to contain an active shooter situation.

The incident started a little after 9 p.m. Washington State Ferry service between Seattle and Bainbridge was suspended until around 11 p.m.

According to the Seattle Times, no one was injured. A person had been firing toward the shore and toward police from a boat anchored in the harbor near the ferry terminal. Police, Coast Guard and firefighters responded.
