Principal, Meridan Capital
Scott Poepping is the principal of Meridan Capital, an investment manager which serves as the general partner of a locally-based hedge fund.
Before founding Meridan Capital, Scott was with Talegen Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xerox Corporation. In this capacity, Scott managed the treasury operations of the holding company and played a lead role in the management, reorganization and ultimate disposition of Xerox's financial services businesses and related subsidiaries to a series of foreign and domestic buyers.
Scott’s career began in 1987 with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in San Francisco where he held a succession of managerial positions, ultimately assuming responsibility for the company’s special risk products operation.
He has served in advisory roles in the areas of business and investment strategy for a wide range of entities ranging in size from local start-ups to large corporations and is currently a member of the Parent Advisory Council for Marquette University.
He holds a MBA from Indiana University.
