And this year, over <a href="http://www.k12.wa.us/PrivateEd/HomeBasedEd/AnnualReports.aspx">16,000 children are homeschooled in Washington state</a>.</p><p>Parents give many different reasons for homeschooling their children: religious or moral convictions, for instance, or concerns about safety in the public school environment.
