Event Description

Sustainable Connections present the Whatcom Food Fest, a weekend of artisan food and culinary experiences in and around Bellingham. Featuring the Whatcom Farm Tour, local spirits and bites pairing, a farm to table brunch, wine, cheese, chocolate and much more! September 8: Spirits + food pairings with Distillery Tour at BelleWood Acres Micro-cocktails paired local appetizers and Bluegrass Farm Tunes at BelleWood Acres September 9 & 10: Whatcom County Farm Tour (10-4pm) Free, family-friendly, self-guided - choose to visit all 12 farms or just a handful! With a mix of different vegetable growers, dairies, cheese producers, berry growers and meat producers re-connect to your food and the agricultural bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Bring a cooler and a picnic, enjoy educational events and festivities at each of the farms, have a great time getting to know local farmers! September 9: Farms, Fisheries, and Fermentation Fete at Boundary Bay Brewery Join us in the Mountain room for a beer + food pairing hosted by Boundary Bay’s catering team! Highlighting local farms + producers and presenting five light dishes paired with Boundary Bay beer. Sept 10: Farm Tour Brunch at Goat Mountain Pizza Kick off the Farm tour with a locally sourced brunch including farm to table pizza and all the fixins. September 10: Wine, Cheese & Chocolate at Vartanyan Estate Winery Pairings of locally made chocolate from Evolve Chocolate Truffles, cheese from Ferndale Farmstead and Twin Sisters Creamery all paired with wine from Vartanyan Estates. September 10: Fried Chicken Feed & Farm Tour Celebration hosted by Acme Farms + Kitchen Just off of Y Road, ten minutes from Bellingham, top off your weekend of feasting with a family friendly fried chicken feed featuring locally sourced chicken and Southern-inspired sides.
