Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers answer phones in the studio during the pledge drive and record pledges over the phone. Volunteers must be able to work in a loud, busy environment, handle a high volume of phone calls and write legibly. Food and beverages are provided.
We currently need volunteers and food donations for our upcoming pledge drive, April 5–15, 2010. We rely on volunteers, volunteer groups, volunteer room coordinators and food establishments to make our pledge drive a success.
Individual phone volunteers:

All volunteers are asked to complete one full 4–hour shift.
Volunteer groups:
Groups of six or more that come into answer phones will be recognized on–air throughout their pledge drive shift. To schedule a volunteer group shift, send an email to

Food establishments:
KUOW seeks food donations to feed phone volunteers while they are working at the station. Food establishments that donate meals, snacks or beverages to KUOW volunteers receive on–air recognition on the day that they donate.
