About Jenny Asarnow:

Jenny Asarnow produces talk shows at KUOW Public Radio, where she's worked on every program in the newsroom. She's the recipient of the Maker's Quest 2.0 grant from the Association of Independents in Radio, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The award recognizes public radio's "brightest 'makers' and invites them to lead the way with new sounds and formats that blend traditional broadcast with new digital media." Jenny created a series of nationally–distributed youth radio showcases in collaboration with the Public Radio Exchange. She has been a producer on The Conversation and Weekday. She has produced Speaker's Forum, reported news, and screened calls for KUOW's talk shows. She produced a series of documentaries about public spaces in Seattle. Jenny came to KUOW as an intern in 2004 and joined the staff in 2006.

Jenny's work has aired on public radio outlets including Weekend America, WBEZ, WFMU, Hearing Voices, and NPR Online and has been exhibited at the A+D Gallery. She first learned to create radio as a student at Brown Student Radio in Providence, Rhode Island.

Jenny is also the program coordinator at Hollow Earth Radio, an online freeform community station in Seattle, and a musician. She has traveled to every continent except Antarctica. Some of her favorite places in the world are Guinea, Orcas Island and Glacier National Park.
